Mother comforting her crying son after he injured his hand

The Covid-19 outbreak has had a great impact on the daily life of many people worldwide, increasing the intensity of emotions such as fear, sadness and anger, especially in children and adolescents.

The research team of the Hemot project (Helmet for emotions), coordinated by Daniela Raccanello, lecturer at the university of Verona, in collaboration with the Civil Protection of the Veneto Region, has developed an information booklet for adults with suggestions and useful strategies to help children deal with the emotional impact that the current health emergency may have on their lives.

The booklet includes a series of practical instructions to avoid succumbing to emotions and manage these in a balanced way, choosing from time to time the ways that promote emotional well-being, and taking action to make them real.
